Room Capacity

The Library MakerSpace is open Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm by appointment only.

Staff will ask you to follow COVID-19 protocols which include social distancing, using the provided hand sanitiser, cleaning your workspaces before and after use and maintaining social distancing requirements of 2 metres.

MakerSpace equipment is available for booking by University of Newcastle and TAFE Ourimbah students and staff. If you have any enquiries about MakerSpace equipment bookings please email the MakerSpace Coordinator.

You can book two hours per item, up to one month in advance.

Bookings may be cancelled by clicking on the cancellation link in your confirmation email.  If you no longer have this email, please contact a Library Service Zone and a staff member will be able to help you.

Bookings will be cancelled automatically if they contravene the Library Use Policy

Note: A Daily maximum of 2 hours can be booked.

This is session is to use all equipment and consumables in the MakerSpace. By making a booking of equipment in the Makerspace, you confirm that:

  • You agree that the equipment will be used within the allocated room
  • You agree that the equipmennt will be left clean and tidy
  • You agree that the use of the rooms is consistent with the Library Use Policy
  • You agree to leave promptly at the end of your allocated time
  • You agree that if you are 10 minutes late your booking will be forfeit
